SACKVILLE, NB — Mount Allison University has a new presence on the web at www.mta.ca. The University recently launched a complete redesign of its website, the first major rebuild more than five of years.
The new site incorporates intuitive navigation and an updated visual design with a modern look and feel. Image intensive pages showcase Mount Allison students and the University’s striking campus.
One of the key features of the site is presenting information by audience. It includes sections aimed at prospective students, current students, faculty and staff, alumni, and visitors — each containing information relevant to that particular community.
“Our website is our primary means of communication with the rest of the world,” says Mount Allison President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Robert Campbell. “The new site better reflects Mount Allison’s identity, highlighting what sets us apart, giving prospective students and visitors a taste of the Mount Allison experience, and providing our current students, faculty, and staff with access to timely, up-to-date information.”
Other notable features include the integration of social media and dynamic news, events, and stories pages.
The site is being launched in phases over the next several months. The initial launch includes the prospective students’ site and academic departments. Future additions include administrative departments, personal faculty pages, libraries and archives, athletics and recreation, the alumni website, and the Owens Art Gallery, among others.
