SYDNEY — The Oceanview Education Centre volleyball team is hosting a fundraiser tournament on Saturday with all proceeds going to the SPCA.

Twelve teams from within the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board will play volleyball all day. There is no admission to the event but donations for the SPCA will be accepted.

Currently the SPCA shelter is in need of such items as wet dog food, wet cat food, vinyl gloves bleach, paper towel, dog treats and leashes, Canawick pellets, and Canadian Tire money.

Referees are donating their time for the tournament.

Sponsors are being sought to cover the cost of the medallions and awards. To help cover these costs, telephone, 565-7645.
