AMHERST-The Cumberland County Museum’s volunteer garden committee held its first annual Fill Your Boots event this past Saturday on the museum’s grounds.

“This was the first time we’ve done this type of dried flower sale,” stated Cumberland County Museum garden committee member Sylvia Fairbanks. “It was a real eye opener for all who participated, including volunteers and the public,” she added. “There is so much in our backyard to make flower arrangements with.”

All proceeds benefit the upkeep of the gardens and lawns of the garden committee.

Prior to this event, the garden committee’s lone fundraiser was its spring plant sale.
