Development Association Provides Helping Hand to River Hebert Schools' Backpack Campaign

Administrative Assistant Jessica White, accepting on behalf of the staff and students of River Hebert Schools, receives a $1,000.00 cheque from River Hebert, Joggins & Area Development Association chairman Wayne Ulch Sunday night at the River Hebert Fire Hall.

RIVER HEBERT-It didn`t take very long for the River Hebert, Joggins & Area Development Asssoication to make good on one of its promises by reinvesting some of the profits it made from the 1st Annual Minudie Music Festival back into the community.

The Development Association, which cleared just over $1,800.00 from the first annual musical event, donated $1,000.00 on Sunday night to the River Hebert Schools' Backpack campaign that provides money to students who can't otherwise afford such school supplies as backpacks, pens and pencils.

    The Development Association and everyone who was involved in the Minudie music festival should be proud and give yourself's a pat on the back! let's hope next year the weather is better and the festival is even bigger. Way to go!
