Patton ran Needs Convenience downtown
The funeral for downtown businesswoman Bev Patton is set for Tuesday at Campbell's Funeral Home. Patton, 66, died Saturay after a lenghty battle with cancer.
AMHERST – The funeral for a downtown Amherst businesswoman will be held Tuesday .
Bev Patton, 66, ran the Needs Convenience store on Church Street for 12 years after working as a waitress and with Northern Telecom.
She died at home on Saturday.
The funeral will take place at 4 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home with Ruth Gamble officiating.
Donations can be made in Bev's memory to the Victorian Order of Nurses Cumberland, the Palliative Care Unit of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or the Amherst branch of the Canadian Red Cross.

Known to many children as "Nanny Bev" she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports, spending time with her familiy and communicating with her family and friends on Facebook.
