HALIFAX — Halifax Regional Police say a member of the force has been accused of sexual assault.
The province’s Serious Incident Response Team is investigating the Aug. 2 complaint.
The agency says a woman alleges that she was sexually assaulted by an off-duty constable in July.
Police say the officer has been suspended from duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
The team investigates serious incidents involving police in Nova Scotia.
