Anne Murray Returns to Springhill for 24th Anniversary of Namesake Museum

SPRINGHILL-Springhill native Anne Murray returned to her roots Saturday for a luncheon and meet and greet with her loyal and dedicated fans. "Today is really about reconnecting with my fans," stated singer Anne Murray, a Canadian music icon who helped paved the way for those who followed in her footsteps. One of those fans was Catherine Smith from Shinimicas.

I come here (to the Anne Murray Centre) once a year to raise money for the museum so that we can keep it open for as long as we can," added Murray.

"It's been a great day," stated Marcie Meekins, the Executive Director of the Anne Murray Centre. "We are so fortunate to have Anne give back to her community in this way," she added. "The response that we have received has been phenomenal," said Meekins. "We are grateful to the town."
