Two fully-produced plays part of lineup

SACKVILLE, N.B. – The eighth edition of the popular Festival by the Marsh is set to kick off next week in Sackville and will run from July 14 to Aug. 10, with this year’s theme focused on Summer Magic.

Included in the line-up are two fully-produced plays, the Marsh Music Fest, featuring three concerts, and KidsFest, a full day of family fun on Aug. 10.

The Festival’s first event is the Sunday, July 14 final performance of Enchanted April, presented by Sackville's community theatre group The Performers Company. For more details on other performances of Enchanted April from July 10-14, visit www.performerscompany.com.

The second theatre production from Aug. 8-10 will be the musical Annie, presented by Will O' the Wisp Productions. Visit www.willothewisp.ca for details and additional dates.

On July 19, the FBTM and the Tantramar Blues Society will kick off the Marsh Music Fest with a performance by The Mellotones at George's Roadhouse. The Marsh Music Fest will continue with A MacKinnon House Concert, featuring Tom Terrell and Alan Jeffries, on Friday, July 26, and conclude with a performance of popular Sackville band Tantrum Art, presented by Pickles European Deli on July 31.

The Festival's final day, Aug. 10, will also see a return of the popular KidsFest, featuring several plays, a concert, a free barbecue, activities for children and families, and a return of last year's very popular Ray's Reptiles.
