There’s no better way to kick off the Frontier Days rodeo and exhibition four-day celebration than the Frontier Days Kick-Off Pancake Breakfast today.

Breakfast will be served next Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the official opening ceremonies happening at 8 a.m.

The Swift Current Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast is the official kickoff to the 75th Anniversary of the Exhibition and Rodeo for 2013 and is among the oldest and largest traditions of Frontier Days. Relive the magic of the old west with your western wear and the fun of sharing an outdoor cowboy breakfast. Come on down to the Market Square City Plaza for a $2 pancake breakfast which includes pancakes, sausages, milk, coffee and juice. All proceeds from the breakfast go to benefit SPCA in Swift Current.

The breakfast is prepared and served by Swift Current Mental Health Association and Centennial Committee. City council members and Ag & Ex Board of Directors will be on hand for the official kickoff ceremony that begins at 8 a.m. There will be an official opening to Frontier Days, presentation of the ‘Dress in Denim’ proceeds to SPCA, and a ceremonial branding of the official Frontier Days Brand by WW Smith and Travel saluting their centennial year.

Frontier Days Parade Marshals James and Cora Mcaulay will be special guests at the breakfast.

There are rodeo ticket prize packages to be won and Frontier Days tickets will also be available for sale.
