RIVER HEBERT – The renovation of River Hebert District High School is expected to be ready for tender Monday.
During a recent meeting of the school’s steering committee the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board’s operations director Herb Steeves said Stantec has done all the work required to take it to tender.
Senior project manager Troy Droesbeck of Stantec told the meeting there was no necessity to redo the previous plans and that space allocations and design remain the same.
The process is now in the province’s hands for approval and tendering.
The steering committee hopes to have the project finished by the end of 2014.
The project has been idle since January 2012 when a tender call came in much higher than what the province budgeted.
