BIBLE HILL – A missing Colchester County girl has been found safe and unharmed.

Colchester Ground Search and Resute have set up a command post at the Bass River Fire Hall on Tuesday afternoon in their search for 15-year-old Allanah Harnish.

BIBLE HILL – A missing Colchester County girl has been found safe and unharmed and is back home with her family.

The 15-year-old Upper Economy resident was located at a residence in Lower Sackville at about 5 p.m. by members of the Sackville RCMP.

RCMP Sgt. Al Affleck said no foul play had taken place in the incident.

The girl was reported missing from her residence by her mother on Tuesday at 5:15 a.m. Colchester and East Hants Ground Search and Rescue units assisted the RCMP in conducting a ground search in Upper Economy for the teen. They were also assisted by a Department of Natural Resources helicopter, which arrived on scene just before 5 p.m.

RCMP were following a lead all afternoon informing them the girl could possibly have hitchhiked to Lower Sackville early Tuesday morning at about 4 a.m., however, continued the search as a precautionary measure.

The search was called off upon the location of the girl.
