Police lay drug charges in Joggins

Two Cumberland County residents are facing drug charges following an investigation by the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

JOGGINS – Two people are facing drug charges following a prescription pill and trafficking marijuana investigation in Joggins.

During the course of the investigation by the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, a 19-year-old River Hebert woman was arrested in Joggins for possession of marijuana.

A search warrant was prepared and executed for a Joggins residence where a 58-year-old man was taken into custody for trafficking in marijuana.

A quantity of marijuana and unidentified pills were seized from the residence.

Both were released from custody and will appear in provincial court in Amherst on July 8.
