LOWER SACKVILLE - Police say a teenager was robbed of jewelry then sprayed with an unknown noxious substance in Sackville on Wednesday night marking the second Kijiji gone bad sale in as many nights.
The RCMP in Sackville are investigating after a jewelry robbery in Lower Sackville on Wednesday.
Just after 6 p.m., police say the victim met two people in the parking lot of Kent Building Supplies in Lower Sackville to sell a piece of jewelry advertised on Kijiji. Once the victim handed over the jewelry, police say he and his three passengers were sprayed with an unknown irritant.
The two suspects fled on foot and a search by police couldnâ€™t locate them.
The incident marks the second such robbery in about 24 hours.
On Tuesday night in Dartmouth, police say someone was sprayed with an unknown irritant during a Kijiji sale.
Police say at 9:20 p.m., officers were called to a robbery complaint near Lacomb Drive and Gaston Road. The victim, 25, said he met two parties to sell a piece of jewelry that he had advertised on Kijiji.
Once the victim handed over the jewelry, police say he was sprayed with an irritant and the two men fled the area on foot.
In the incident in Sackville, the two suspects are described as both about 17, with a black male having tattoos on his left forehand. The other suspect was described as a white male.
In the case in Dartmouth, police describe one as a black male with tattoos on the right side of his neck and back of his right hand. The other man, who was white, was described as being around 18 to 23 years of age.
