Halifax police have given the all clear after investigating a suspicious briefcase located in a bus stop in downtown Halifax on Tuesday morning.
Police blocked off a section of Barrington between Morris and Hollis streets after the unattended briefcase was located around 10:50 a.m. in the bus stop.
Police say someone called from a payphone at the location on Barrington and South streets about the suspicious package.
Police evacuated some nearby businesses and a police bomb robot was also on scene.
Around 12:30 p.m., police gave the all clear and traffic was again allowed to resume as normal after determining concrete blocks were inside.
