Springhill Police have charged a man with various theft-related offences folowing an incident in the parking lot at the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre.
SPRINGHILL â€“ An adult male has been arrested and charged with various theft-related charges after police responded to a complaint of a vehicle being illegally entered at the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre.
A number of items were stolen from the vehicle, including jewelry and a cellphone.
The man is charged with theft, possession of stolen property and failing to attend court.
Several stolen items were recovered and the man will appear in court in May.
On April 9, a young offender was arrested by Springhill Police and charged with three offences under the Youth Criminal Justice Act relating to breaches of court orders.
Police are seeking the publicâ€™s help in its investigation of a break and enter into an address on the Athol Road in Springhill.
The investigation revealed that a forced entry was made into the residence and a number of power tools stolen.
With the assistance of neighbours, police were able to recover the stolen tools.
Anyone with information on the break and enter is asked to call the police department at 597-3779 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
On April 14, a concerned citizen called Springhill Police to report a male was attempting to enter vehicles parked in a parking lot on Church Street.
An adult male was arrested and later released with a court date in May. He is facing multiple theft-related charges.
No vehicles were entered or damaged.
