RCMP say they have no details about crash

Single vehicle collision?

AMHERST – Clean up crews were working to clean up after what appeared to be a single vehicle collision on the westbound side of Highway 104 just about 200 metres before the exit to Amherst.

The collission occurred at about 2 p.m. but a call to the RCMP several hours later revealed they have no information on the collision and they said they are not sure when, or if, any information is forthcoming.

I was the first person on scene for this accident and I've been in contact with persons regarding this (no names or otherwise will be provided). The male occupant is fine, little injuries sustained. The female occupant was in hard shape, airlifted to Halifax and is now expected to make a full recovery. Thanks to all who stopped to provide assistance.

we do not know a whole lot. I wish we did. As far as we know the Woman was awake. she just over corrected her steering after hitting loose gravel. there were two people Husband and Wife as far as we know the man seemed to be ok. but the woman was not ok. I don't know if i should go into the details about it, but it was gruesome, and we are hoping she is ok. but lets just say she was in a bad situation. Again we ask, if anyone knows anything about the Lady's current state of health please lets us know cmr212@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Do we know what happened? Driver fall asleep? Avoid an animal? How many people in the car? Are they ok?

We were two the first people on the scene. We actually watched the car go up the guardrail like a ramp. Fly into the air and land upright. On the road, the tow truck and the ambulance and cops were called to the scene by alot of “ordinary“ people. There was a lot of debree which we all cleared of the road in order to get traffic moving again. Two people started directing traffic and when the cops and ambulances got there they took some statements and got the injured personel onto abulances and took pictures. We would however like to know how the injured are doing. We are very concerned about them. If you have any info on that matter please contact, cmr212@hotmail.com

I passed this as well. I saw two ambulances and could see what looked like a person on a stretcher being loaded into one of the ambulances before we passed it. The car was in pieces but right side up in the middle of the road. Tow truck was already on scene, not sure if it had fished the car out from the side of the road or not.

I passed this on the highway at about 240 and first responders had been there for some time. A little more information would be great
