Man charged with drug possession during traffic stop

SALT SPRINGS – RCMP Northern Traffic Services arrested a 48-year-old Herring Cove man for possession of 120 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop on Highway 204 near Salt Springs on Wednesday.

The man faces charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and was also charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for speeding.

He has been released from custody and will appear in provincial court on April 22.
