AMHERST – Robin’s Donuts is off to a good start, according to manager Kittee Baxter.

“It more than exceeded expectations,” she said, when it opened, and that trend has continued.

Baxter said they had to upgrade their drive-thru technology to accommodate a higher volume of drive-thru business than anticipated.

The business opened on Oct. 3. The manager said a clientele base has developed.

“Got some great people that come in every day,” she said.

Chocolate chip muffins and biscuits are two of the most popular items, according to Baxter. Courting controversy, she also said she thinks their coffee is better than the competition’s (Tim Horton’s was contacted for their opinion on the matter but the person who could offer a comment was unavailable).

The manager said they’ve been getting to know their niche and their customers.

“We’re doing well…we’re enjoying it.”
