Three Cumberland County residents have been arrested following a drug investigation by the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Unit.
AMHERST – An 18-year-old Joggins man and an 18-year-old woman from Advocate Harbour were arrested following a drug investigation by the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
A 23-year-old Amherst man was also arrested for trafficking in marijuana.
The Joggins man has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking while the Advocate Harbour woman was arrested for the possession of marijuana.
A quantity of marijuana, unidentified pills and trace quantities of cocaine were seized from an Amherst residents following the execution of a search warrant.
The pills will be sent for analysis to determine whether they are controlled drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The Amherst and Joggins men were released from custody and will appear in provincial court on March 25.
