Town hall ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m.

Amherst will officially open its new town hall with an open house today from 12:30 to 6 p.m. There's a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m.

Open house runs noon to 6 p.m.

AMHERST – Amherst will officially open its new home with an open house today.

The open house, that will include tours, begins at noon and runs to 6 p.m.

Mayor Robert Small and members of town council will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m.

The town moved its offices from the Confederation Memorial Building on Ratchford Street to the Dominion Public Building last fall.
