AMHERST – We all have one because, unfortunately, we have all been touched by cancer.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life in Amherst. Participants, survivors and volunteers join in from all over Cumberland County for this life changing event.
It is an opportunity to honour our cancer survivors, pay tribute to those lost to this disease and fight back as a community united to put an end to cancer.
This year we are delighted to have Tantramar Chevrolet Buick GMC and the Maltby Casey Investment Group at CIBC Wood Gundy become the event sponsor of the Relay For Life.
With expanded hours, entertainment, children’s activities and special details it is sure to be the best yet. We are encouraging all citizens to come to Robb’s field on June 7 to see what it is all about.
“In honour of all our employees, friends and family who have been touched by cancer we are pleased to partner with Steve Maltby to sponsor this event,” said Donald Furlong of Tantramar Chevrolet Buick GMC. “We know so many people who have survived this disease because of the advances in research and many more who have benefited from the programs of the Canadian Cancer Society. This being the 10th anniversary we wanted to continue to show our support and fight back against cancer”
