AMHERST – Christopher Lee Glennie, 36, of Minudie, was sentenced in court on Monday to 53 months federal custody, consecutive to other sentences, after pleading guilty to unlawfully conspiring with others to commit the indictable offence of trafficking cocaine.

The incident occurred between Dec. 16, 2010, and Feb. 2, 2011, in Amherst and Springhill.

He was also sentenced to 53 months federal custody, concurrent to other sentences, after pleading guilty to the possession of property, $58,200, knowing that all or part of the property was obtained or derived directly or indirectly as a result of crime.

The incident occurred between Jan. 10, 2010, and Feb. 2, 2011, in Amherst.

Glennie was also sentenced in court on Monday to 53 months federal custody, concurrent to other sentences, after pleading guilty to unlawfully conspiring to trafficking marijuana.

The incident occurred between Dec. 16, and Dec. 31, 2010, in River Hebert.

He was also sentenced in court on Monday to 53 months custody after pleading guilty to the possession of property, $3,400, knowing that all or part of the property was obtained or derived directly or indirectly as a result of crime.

The incident occurred between Dec. 20, and Dec. 31, 2010, in River Hebert.

The Crown will withdraw seven other charges against Glennie after his sentencing.

Glennie was one of nine individuals arrested Feb. 1, 2011, throughout Cumberland County where more than six kilograms of cocaine and a pound of marijuana were seized, as well as cash and firearms.
