AMHERST – As of early this morning, Environment Canada upgraded their winter storm warning for Cumberland County North and Cobequid Pass to a blizzard warning.
Heavy snowfall accompanied with blowing snow is expected to develop over night and continue on into Saturday.
As the system moves in, the area will see heavy snow and strong winds, blowing between 80 to 100 km/h. The area is expected to see approximately 20 – 30 centimeters of snow. The extreme weather could result in near-zero visibility conditions.
