Snow leads to school cancellations

Schools are closed across Cumberland County today.

AMHERST - There is no school across Cumberland County today.

Snow and blowing snow is causing reduced visibilities on county highways today leading the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board to close all schools.

As well, the Springhill and Amherst campuses of the Nova Scotia Community College are also closed for the day as is the Changes Hair Salon school.

All CAN-U classes are cancelled today as well.

Up to five centimetres of snow is forecast to fall today, but winds are expected to gust to 70 km/h our of the west later this afternoon.
