SPRINGHILL – Springhill was alive with the sounds of button pushing as gaming enthusiasts gathered at the community centre Saturday afternoon for the video game tournament.

Three Game Tournament was all about the fighting games. Players were armed with their controllers to defeat their comrades to earn top honours playing their favourite games: Mortal Kombat 9, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter AE 2012.

Am I the only person who sees adult gamers as a devolution of man? Something to be embarrassed about, not to be publicized? I'm far from a technophobe, and work in tech, but this immature man-boy culture where adult men are obsessed with digital gaming is truly depressing to watch all around us. No wonder men today are less likely to date, marry, even attract a woman for any length of time, and are inordinately obese.
