Tractor trailer container becomes airborne, lands in ditch on Trans Canaada Highway near Crowes Mills

UPDATED 9:10 A.M. FRIDAY
CROWES MILLS - Late Thursday afternoon traffic in the westbound lanes of Highway 104 near Debert was slowed to a crawl and reduced to one lane after the cargo container from a tractor-trailer became airborne and landed in the ditch.

Truck crash

No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved in the mispha, which occurred about 5 p.m. beetween Debert and Truro.

"The box came off the trailer and is in the ditch, but the truck is upright," said RCMP Cpl. Addie Maccallum.

No immediate cause was available for why the container left its trailer bed although winds were high at the time of the incident.

    what there describing is possible..the trailer they are talking about is one of those shipping containers that go rail/ship/truck an if the pins holding the container to the chassis wern`t properly locked high winds could take it off the chassis and leave the truck upright

    Is this over-dramitizing?? Head line says unit rolls however trailer is upright and apparently so is the tractor!!!! Let's report FACTS!
