Fire destroys home in Springhill

SPRINGHILL – A family of four escaped unharmed but lost all their belongings when fire gutted their home Saturday night in Springhill.

Fire fighters responded to the fire at about 10 p.m.

A couple and their two children, ages 21 and 11-years old, are staying with relatives.

Canadian Red Cross disaster volunteers have been contacted to offer emergency aid if needed.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fired.
