AMHERST – A roof-mounted HVAC unit sent firefighters to the Pharmasave building this morning before 9 a.m. Crews quickly mounted ladders at the building on the corner of Robert Angus Drive and Church Street, checking on a unit which, according to Chief Bill Crossman, had been observed emitting some smoke. The malfunctioning unit tripped a fire alarm, he said.
