RODNEY – Four teenage youths are in local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after rolling a pickup truck outside Springhill town limits.
Cumberland RCMP and EHS responded to the single motor vehicle accident this afternoon where a pickup truck containing seven youths had left the road and rolled. Initial sources say at least one teenager was trapped under the vehicle following the incident and the driver was newly licensed.
Cumberland RCMP Srgt. Allan Carroll reported four of the seven youths in the vehicle required medical attention following the incident.
“Some of them were on the back cab of the pickup truck,” Carroll said.
Road conditions at the time were good but its too early into the investigation to determine if speed was a factor, Carroll said.
