Amherst looking for athletic achievers

AMHERST – As part of the annual athletic achievers recognition program, Amherst’s Community and Economic Development Department is seeking the assistance of area organizations and teams to obtain information on individuals and teams who have achieved a gold medal performance at a provincial or higher competition.

Submissions can be sent, no later than Feb. 14, to Corey Crocker at PO Box 516, Amherst, N.S. B4H 1X6 or hand deliver to town hall, 98 East Victoria Street.

They can also be faxed to 667-5251 or emailed to ccrocker@amherst.ca.

Applications are available online at www.amherst.ca under forms.

The athletic achievers ceremony takes place March 19 at the Amherst Fire Department at 7 p .m.
