Rushton charged with impaired driving

LINDEN – A 58-year-old Port Howe man has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Linden on Wednesday.

Gregory Mason Howe’s vehicle was stopped by Pugwash RCMP with assistance from RCMP Northern Traffic Service at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and he failed the roadside screening test.

He was charged with impaired driving and driving while prohibited.

He was also charged with driving without valid insurance.

Rushton was remanded into custody until Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m. when he will appear in Amherst provincial court.
