AMHERST – Amherst and Cumberland County remain under a winter storm watch for Thursday.

Five centimetres of snow and ice pellets are forecast to fall before changing to rain overnight as temperatures rise to above freezing. Rain is forecast for Friday.

There could be higher amounts of snow over higher terrain.

The wind is expected to gust to 70 km/h later Thursday.

More snow is forecast for Sunday.
