TRURO - The RCMP are advising motorists of expected traffic delays today on Highway 102 through Millbrook between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. due to a demonstration.
Both the north and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane at the Truro Power Center near exit 13 A. The RCMP will be establishing safety barriers to reduce the 102 to a single lane for the duration of the protest, which is part of a national effort to bring awareness to federal Bill C-45.
Motorists traveling through the area are advised to expect delays and to allow for additional driving time. Patience is requested and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Why not write an article about why there will be a protest today? Why not mention the fact that Chief Theresa Spence has been on a hunger strike for over a week and Stephen Harper continues to ignore her pleas for a meeting?
