UPDATED.
TATAMAGOUCHE – More than 4,200 residents in the Tatamagouche/Wentworth Valley area were left without power Tuesday morning because of a transmission failure.

Affected areas included Blair, Maple and Pine streets in Tatamagouche and from Tatamagouche to the River John and New Annan areas. Some residents in Earltown, West Branch, Denmark, Wallace and Malagash areas were also left in the dark.

The power went out at 8:17 a.m. and was restored shortly before 11 a.m.
