PARRSBORO – The Cumberland Health Authority wishes to advise the public =on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. there will be no physician available to provide medical coverage in the South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC). This means there will be no on-site emergency services available during these hours.
The primary health care clinic will remain open during those hours and anyone wishing to see a Nurse Practitioner should call for an appointment. As well, the overnight coverage (8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.) provided by the paramedic/registered nurse team will be available as usual.
The public is reminded that in all circumstances, those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911. General health concerns can also be directed to HealthLink 811 where advice and information are available around the clock. Simply dial 811 to speak with a registered nurse.
