AMHERST – Acadian Bus Lines has officially come to a close. For students, it was an easy inexpensive way to travel, leaving those without vehicles stranded.

Student Killian Mueller said students without their own vehicles are stuck when trying to get home for holidays or vacation.

“It sucks,” he said. “If you don’t have a car, you always have to ask people for rides.”

In a recent press release, Maritime Bus announced its new website, helping students and travelers in the Maritime Provinces travel similar routes to that of Acadian Bus Line.

“The Maritime Bus online reservation system is a critical part of our commitment to customer service,” said Mike Cassidy, president of Maritime Bus in the recent release. “We are excited to showcase our new Maritime Bus network. Customers will see so many more available options to meet their travel and parcel shipment needs.”

The website provides travellers with schedules, stop locations, same-day parcel services, routes and prices. The new service has 40 different terminal and agency locations throughout the Maritime region and operates seven days a week.
