PUGWASH – Historic Thinkers Lodge will again be features in this year’s Pugwash Communities in Bloom fundraiser on Dec. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m.
This beautifully restored National Historic Site will be awash in lights and greenery for the season, highlighting its rich heritage and message of peace for this holiday season. The decorations this year will re-imagine the classic Christmas poem, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ to delight visitors of all ages.
Enjoy carolers and step back in time with a family who is just settling down for a long winters nap. Don’t be surprised to find Santa in the Great Room checking his list and taking time out for a snack.
Come celebrate the season by visiting this beautiful jewel in the heart of Pugwash and as well as the other decorated homes as part of this year’s Christmas home tour including a ranch-style home and stables on the Gulf Shore a log home that has been thoughtfully built to conserve energy and features many outstanding works of art.
The owner’s forge will be in operation to demonstrate how some of the art works were created.
Tickets are $10.00, available in advance from the Pugwash Village Commission, the Chatterbox Café, the Hidden Jewel, Home Hardware, Inn the Elms B&B and on Dec. 8 at St. Thomas More Church Hall, where refreshments will be served and people can enter to win a Communities in Bloom wreath.
