SPRINGHILL – Motorists traveling Highway 2 through Springhill are advised to detour around the intersection of McGee and McDougal Streets.
A home being transported from Athol Road to the Valley Road area buckled at its hitch, bring the home to rest on the middle of road Friday afternoon. It's unknown how long it will take to get the building mobile again.
Motorists coming from Leamington into Springhill can turn left onto Herret Road - across from the West End XTR Gas Bar - and proceed to downtown. Those leaving the downtown area towards Leamington and Southampton can proceed on Main Street, through the Springhill Industrial Park and onto Herrett Road before resuming travel on McGee Street, part of the Highway 2.
UPDATE: The home was moved last night and traffic is now running again.
