53-year-old arrested for refusing to provide breath sample

PUGWASH – A 53-year-old male was arrested for Impaired Operation and Refusal to Provide a Breath Sample yesterday at 5:17 in Pugwash.

The RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 6 in Pugwash where the driver displayed signs of impairment, which led to his arrest.

He will appear in Amherst Provincial Court today to answer to the charges.

Cumberland District RCMP reminds motorists of MADD Canada's Campaign 911.

Anybody suspecting a driver is impaired by alcohol is asked to call 911.
