OXFORD – The RCMP Northern Traffic Services charged a 65-year-old female from Truro with Impaired Driving and Driving over .08 under the Criminal Code.
They were conducting a traffic stop on Highway 104 between Oxford and Springhill when they arrested the driver after she displayed signs of impairment. The incident occurred June 21, at 10:40 a.m.
The woman was transported to the RCMP Amherst Detachment where breath samples were obtained, resulting in her being charged for Impaired Driving and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Concentration above the Legal Limit.
She is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m.
Cumberland District RCMP remind motorists of MADD Canada's Campaign 911.
The RCMP asks the public to call them at 911 if they suspect a driver is impaired.
