AMHERST – James Frederick Cole, 75, of Maccan, was sentenced in court on Monday to 90 days custody, concurrent on each count, after pleading guilty to knowingly uttering a threat to cause bodily harm and threatening to burn the house of the person he utter the threat to.

The incident occurred April 26, 2012, in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to 30 days custody, consecutive to other sentences, for failing to comply with an order to have no direct contact or communication with two individuals, unless initiated by either of those two individuals, or conducted through legal counsel.

The incident occurred between Sept. 22, 2011, and March 16, 2012, in Amherst.
