AMHERST – Samuel Phillip Perley, 21, of Springhill, pleaded guilty in court on Monday to causing facial wounds to a person, thereby committing an aggravated assault.

He also pleaded guilty in court on Monday to breaking and entering a dwelling house near Springhill, on Athol Road, and committing the indictable offence of assault therein.

He also pleaded guilty in court on Monday to committing mischief by willfully destroying a telephone of the Springhill Police Service, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incidents occurred Jan 7, 2012, at, or near, Springhill.

Perley will be sentenced for the above crimes on July 5, 2012, at 1:30 p.m.
