SPRINGHILL – A 69-year-old man was arrested April 27 for trafficking marijuana from his home in Springhill.
Police executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act at the accused residence and a quantity of marijuana was seized, along with drug paraphernalia.
The accused will appear in Amherst Provincial Court on May 28, to answer to charges of trafficking marijuana, and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Law enforcement moved in on the house and made the arrest after the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit carried out an investigation under the CDSA, with the assistance of Criminal Intelligence Nova Scotia and the Springhill Police Department.
