AMHERST – Daren Wayne McCormick, 46, of Northport, was sentenced in Supreme Court on Thursday to three years and 34 days custody after being convicted on several charges, including uttering a threat to kill a police officer.
McCormick was sentenced to 150 days custody, 116 of which have already been served, for uttering a threat to cause death to a police officer.
The incident occurred March 31, 2011, in Amherst.
McCormick was sentenced to three years custody for possessing a loaded restricted firearm, a .44-calibre handgun while he was prohibited from doing so.
McCormick was also sentenced to one-year custody, concurrent to other sentences, for carrying a weapon for dangerous purposes.
He was also sentenced to one-year custody, concurrent to other sentences, for possessing a firearm while prohibited from doing so.
McCormick was also sentenced to one-year custody, concurrent to other sentences, for carrying a firearm without lawful excuse.
