Dr. Fashoranti pleads guilty, sentenced to absolute discharge
AMHERST – Dr. Oluwarotimi Fashoranti, 54, of Pugwash, was sentenced in court on Wednesday to an absolute discharge after pleading guilty to committing assault.
The incident occurred July 17, 2001 in Pugwash.
Fashoranti was charged with three other charges of assault and one charge of confining the assault victim without lawful authority.
Two of the assaults charges were alleged to have happened in Pugwash on July 3, 2001, while the third charge of assault and the charge of unlawful confinement were alleged to have happened July 4, 2001 in Pugwash.
The Crown offered no evidence, and the four counts were dismissed for want of prosecution.
