Police respond to calls of theft from vehicles
AMHERST – Two suspicious males fled on foot Saturday morning after a resident of Fillmore Street confronted them. Amherst Police responded to the incident and conducted foot patrols in the area and determined two males were involved in thefts from vehicles in the area but were unable to apprehend them. The investigation continues.
Late Sunday afternoon police were advised that three vehicles had been entered and items stolen from the vehicles. The matter also remains under investigation.
The police remind car owners to lock their vehicles when unattended.
Police responded to a total of 27 calls over the weekend.
