SOUTHAMPTON – The Amherst RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 2 in Southampton on Saturday and charged a 22-year-old Springhill man with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding .08 percent.
The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested at this time.
His vehicle has been impounded and he is to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on Feb. 27.
Cumberland District RCMP would like to remind motorists of MADD Canada's Campaign 911. If you suspect a driver is impaired then call 911.
