House fire in Brookdale

AMHERST – The Amherst Fire Department was at the scene of a house fire on Hwy 204, Brookdale, starting at about 4 p.m. Smoke billowed out of the yellow bungalow but no flames were visible outside. A witness said the house belongs to Kathy and Mike St. Onge. No ambulance was observed at the site. Fire department staff at the house were uncertain of the fire’s cause.
