Fire Hydrants opened illegally

PARRSBORO – The Parrsboro RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in solving the opening and activation of a fire hydrant Saturday, Nov. 20 on Willow Avenue in Parrsboro.

A similar incident occurred Wednesday, Nov. 16, on Western Avenue in Parrsboro.

The RCMP said, “such incidents pose a risk to public safety, not only to motorists, but to the entire town and its water system as it would ultimately affect the operation of they hydrant system in case of a fire.”

Anybody with any information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Oxford RCMP at 447-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
