AMHERST – Santa’s sleigh and his reindeer will soon take to the sky but, before they do, everybody can give Santa a helping hand by contributing toys to the Toyota Toy Drive entered in Saturday’s Amherst Christmas Parade.
“We’ll be driving the parade route and the atom hockey team we sponsor, the Amherst Toyota Ramblers, will collect toys along the parade route,” Amherst Toyota’s Glenn Roberts said.
This is the fourth year Toyota has held a toy drive during the parade and Roberts said it’s been very successful.
“It was a great turnout last year, we pretty well had a full truck,” he said. “We wouldn’t mind filling the truck up twice and dumping it twice.”
Toys can also be dropped off at Amherst Toyota.
